Black Eye Coffee, true elegance in the heart of Bucharest

Big cities have their advantages. One is that you never get bored! But there are disadvatages also: like the one you cant decide, you don’t know what to choose and where to go. By chance, as it happends in most of the stories with a happy ending, I found a place that is worth discovering. Black Eye Coffee, is a café in the heart of Bucharest.

First time when you come here you feel th welcoming atmosphere. The place is also very elegant and the true coffee connoisseurs can appreciate the quality of the flavors and tastes. Here’s where i learned that Black Eye Coffee is a strong type of American coffee. But if you like hot chocolate, I’m sure you‘ll find yourself smiling when you will see the Italian Eraclea brand.

No smoking!

Besides the fact that the cafe location is right across the street from Cişmigiu Park, here smoking is not aloud either. Usually I don’t mind when my friends enjoy social smoking, but i must admit that I began appreciate the places where i feel the smell of natural flowers. Just like at Black Eye Coffee. Not to mention that here you are served by three barista Ramona, Emilian and Sebi (Sebastian Farcas photo). Sebi was recently awarded third place at the Latte Art National Championship. And I say recently because he won other prizes also. Sebi is the one who told me that V 60, Cona and Aeropress are three methods of making coffee that must be tried

Organic coffee and tea

At Black Eye Coffee you find organic coffees with natural flavor from roasted beans, and organic tea, Italian chocolate, natural fruit juices, even dietetic chocolate cakes, caramel cake or cheese cake. There’s a lot to choose from!

And in the evening, after a pleasant walk in the spring, a good cognac could be very nice or a glass of wine served in two: French wine, Italian wine or Romanian traditional wine. The bohemian and elegant atmosphere of this place captivated me and I recommend it. Try it! You might like it.
