He knows how to feel a perfume like no other. Born an artist, Francis Kurkdjian became a perfumer. His brilliant career started 20 years ago and he is recognized as one of the most celebrated perfumers of our time. He has created more than 40 world famous perfumes for fashion houses such as Armani, Jean Paul Gautier, Narciso Rodriguez, Dior, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy or Elie Saab.
I met him in Bucharest at the launching event for his brand new fragrance, Feminin Pluriel and Masculin Pluriel. Francis spoke with such a passion about his work. Francis Kurkdjian: “Perfume as a world of art is a transmitted expression of intimacy” he said.
Feminin Pluriel is a floral perfume with notes of Florentine Iris, Violet, Grasse Rose, Egyptian Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Orange Blossom, Vetiver and Indonesian Patchouli. Feminin Pluriel is really versatile, able to function from office to cocktail party to formal affair.
Masculin Pluriel is a woody perfume with notes of Lavender Absolute, Leather, Eastern Red Cedar, Indonesian Patchouli and Vetiver. It is also versatile and both perfumes are distributed in Romania by Beautik Haute Perfumery.
