The Romanian born designer Dorin Negrau was inspired in his latest collection by the creative techniques from ancient times used in Transylvania, near the castle of Count Dracula.
“Brides’S – The Story Continues”, the latest collection of Dorin Negrau, was presented at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall 2015 one of the most important fashion events in the world. The creations are inspired by the traditional Romanian port of married women in Transylvania, close to the castle of Dracula and where the technique were inherited from ancestors. Embroidery has been improved over the time, became emblematic for that area of Romania and resulted a sensual, romantic and exciting collection.
“Brides’S” was presented on the same day with the newest collections of Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Mark Jacobs. And what’s even more interesting is that it’s a high probability for some pieces of Dorin Negrau’s collection to be selected for an upcoming exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
