Dorin Negrau is the only designer from Romania who was invited at the New York Fashion Week, who’s taking place these days in Manhattan area. I can’t wait to see Negrau’s new collection, but what i already know is that he was inspired by the traditional costumes of women in Transylvania, in the mountain villages where famous Dracula had his castle.

Romanian designer Dorin Negrau returns to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York with a new sensual, romantic and exciting line, after he surprised the whole fashion industry in September 2014. His collection ,,Brides ‘S – The Story Continues” will show the contrast between ordinary people from Transylvania and the sensual and luxuriant costumes weared by the ladies of that time, held captive in the castle of Vlad Tepes.
“On this occasion I received a request from the representatives of Costume Institute in New York in order to participate to our show and posibly to select some of the pieces from our collection for an upcoming exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art” said Dorin Negrau.
